Steven Gianakouros

I’m a designer, advisor, and investor who loves working with people and businesses that value creativity and great design. Over the years, I’ve helped teams discover their unique brand voices, tackle tough creative challenges, and build user experiences that perform while looking awesome. In my roles—most recently as VP of Design at Magic Labs and Vista and during my seven years at Netflix—I set quality standards, guided brand and product strategies, and mentored design teams. I’ve also served as a Design Director at Wealthfront and Mint.com, where I led teams to create intuitive personal finance experiences.

Earlier in my career, I progressed from a designer to a creative director in digital marketing and brand agencies, shaping everything from campaign concepts to global branding systems. Beyond my professional work, I serve on the Advisory Board of KinoSaito, an art center dedicated to experimentation in abstract art.

Today, I focus on advising, investing in, and consulting with creative businesses—balancing beautiful aesthetics with practical functionality to help them thrive while staying true to their vision
